The School of Law is a leading international centre for world-class legal research and scholarship and provides a distinctive University of London LLB law degree. We also offer Certificates of Higher Education in Law and Criminology, an innovative programme of Masters degrees in law, and host a flourishing community of students engaged in graduate research in law (MPhil and PhD degrees).

The School of Law is committed to research excellence, with all members of teaching staff carrying out multidisciplinary research in exciting and innovative areas. Our academic staff are recognized leaders and experts in their fields, and are particularly well known for addressing legal issues from a critical and sociolegal perspective. The School encourages and assists researchers to publish, and many of the School’s graduates have become professional academics after, and even during, their studies.
