Email at Birkbeck

IT Services (ITS) develops and supports the central email infrastructure at Birkbeck. This consists of the mail servers used by our users and the underlying systems required to support the service, integrate with Birkbeck GMail service, including mail gateways, anti-virus and anti-spam measures, list serving, and help for supported mail clients.

This web site provides advice on the acceptable and sensible use of electronic mail to help you avoid common mistakes and enable ITS to provide reliable email services. Information is also provided on  Good Email Practice,  Email Distribution Lists for Staff, and setting up Forwarding and Vacation emails.

Staff email and calendaring services are provided using Microsoft Exchange.

Student email services are provided by Birkbeck's GMail service, powered by Google.
