Implementing an effective Environmental Management System in a Higher Education and Further Education Institution: an introductory workshop

In collaboration with Birkbeck Business Relations Unit, the Institute of Environment is offering one-day workshops on how to begin the process of implementing an effective Environmental Management System (EMS).

Target Audience: the workshops are designed for employees in higher and further education with some responsibility for the implementation of environmental policies and procedures. Participants will need to have a basic understanding of environmental issues and experience of the particular challenges of working in an educational establishment.

Dates: Friday 2nd November 2007, 9.15am - 4.30pm
Or Friday 7th December 2007, 9.15am - 4.30pm.

Location:Room 629, Birkbeck, University of London, Malet Street, London WC1E 7HX.

Cost: £225 for one participant, £200 for additional participants from institution, including lunch and refreshments.
