The Birkbeck Centre for Contemporary Theatre was established in 2007 as a forum for theatre makers and scholars to engage in productive dialogue, producing an ongoing public discussion around the role, future and function of theatre practice.
Engaging in a range of events involving theatre directors, playwrights, actors, designers, community theatre artists, critics, visual and performance artists, audience members and academics, the Centre promotes a critical and cutting edge engagement with the key concerns facing theatre makers and thinkers.
